God Is Still Building His Church: Welcoming New Members in Christ

Sunday 7th April, 2025 was a special one for Reconciliation Baptist Church—not only did we witness the baptism of precious souls, but we also welcomed them officially as members of our church family. With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we opened our arms to these new believers who have chosen to walk with us in faith, fellowship, and service.

Becoming a church member is more than signing a roll or attending services—it's about joining a spiritual family that grows together, prays together, and supports one another in love. As 1 Corinthians 12:27 reminds us, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." Every new member adds something unique and vital to the life of our church.

After baptism, our new members stood before the congregation to affirm their commitment—not just to God, but to His people. It was a beautiful moment of unity, reflecting the heart of Acts 2:42, where the early church "devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

As a church, we also made a promise—to walk with them, encourage them, disciple them, and serve alongside them. Church membership is a two-way covenant of mutual love and accountability, one that reflects the deep family bond we share in Christ.

We look forward to the gifts and talents they will bring to our ministries, the friendships that will blossom, and the testimonies that will strengthen our faith. God is at work at Reconciliation Baptist Church, and the addition of new members is yet another sign of His goodness and faithfulness.

To our new members: Welcome home. We are so glad you’re here. May you find this community to be a place of growth, grace, and deep joy in the Lord. As Philippians 1:6 encourages us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Let’s continue to pray for and encourage one another as we walk this journey of faith—together.
