A Joyful Welcoming: Celebrating the Baptism of New Believers

On Saturday 6th April 2025, Reconciliation Baptist Church was filled with joy, gratitude, and celebration as we witnessed the baptism of three individuals who have publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ. It was a powerful moment of transformation and testimony, one that reminds us all of the power of God’s redeeming love.

Baptism is a beautiful symbol of the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 6:4, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Each of the three candidates came forward in obedience to Jesus’ command and the leading of the Holy Spirit, choosing to make their faith known before God, their families, and the church body. As they were gently lowered into the water and brought up again, it was more than a ritual—it was a declaration of faith and the beginning of a new chapter.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." At Reconciliation Baptist Church, we are committed to this Great Commission, and every baptism is a testimony to its ongoing fulfillment in our midst.

Following the baptism, the congregation welcomed these new members with open arms, committing to walk alongside them in love, prayer, and discipleship. This act of joining the body of Christ not only reflects their personal faith but also their desire to be part of a community rooted in grace and truth.

Let us rejoice together with heaven, for as Jesus said in Luke 15:10, "There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." How much more joyous it is when three come forward!

As a church family, we are blessed to witness such growth, and we are reminded to continually pray for these new members—that their faith would grow deep roots, and that they would be lights in a world in need of hope.

To the newly baptized: Welcome! May your journey of faith be rich, and may you always know the love of Christ and the support of your church family. We are excited to see all that God will do in and through your lives.
